Also for final stop, even if batteries are empty.I assume you are talking about regen braking? You still need normal brakes as a backup in case the batteries are full, can't charge or have some other issues.
As one who's always driven high gear ratio hotrods with big engines, and a lot of manual transmission, I absolutely love the feel of regen braking. I hate driving most regular auto's because, by comparison to manual or even an auto set up for racing, most regular passenger vehicle autos feel like they're always accelerating forward. It's really nice to feel the vehicle pulling you back when you let up on the accelerator.
