Sharp corners on FEL leading edge

Oh no; when the cutting edge was replaced on the bucket I made sure it was extended one and a half inches beyond the side of the bucket. Makes for a nice edge to cut things like roots, get a edge on a stone, make a nice slice in the side of a building and so forth.

Loader should not be up with no operator on the seat and hard hats can take a lot of bumps.:D

I will tell you another outfit that is somewhat "toothy" that is the business end of my "wicked" grapple.. those lower tines are darn sharp when it comes from the factory. They are a little duller now, but still not something to mess with!

"if you really care about safety, you'll" - lower all implements when not in use.

That's common practice as corner wear is often faster/greater than the whole.
The point brought up concerning lowering attachments to the ground is valid, on point, and the real answer to the "problem".

I'd be interested in seeing a pic of the edges you are concerned with. And wondering if all buckets have them, or just certain ones.

JD, if you really care about safety, you'll round off the ends of the FEL leading edge. I was working around it yesterday and leaned over and poked a hole in my forehead.

Called my handyman who happens to have a heavy duty grinder. He came today and rounded off those corners. Took him less than 10 minutes.

Been thinking about doing it for quite some time. JD should have done it.

Don't let the Government hear about your mishap. They will require safety head gear to work near your own tractor. Just poking fun, glad you are ok.

Here's the rounded edge of the bucket on my 1025 now. MUCH safer. I don't have to worry so much about running into it with a bare leg or hitting it with my head like I did. Took my handyman about 10 minutes and cost me $16.

That cutting edge still has paint on it. Put it in the dirt instead of flesh. Blood ruins steel!
