You do not necessarily need power beyond sleeve in this port of the driver valve to have both driver and 3 pt function. With the flat open center plug installed flow from the tractor valve "A" port (when lever in detent) will go through the driver valve and directly back to tank either through the open center circuit when not driving a post or the driver piston return circuit when pounding. To regain 3 pt function, put tractor valve back to neutral. When the tractor valve is in detent it sending oil directly to tank, by-passing the 3 pt down stream from the tractor valve.
Option 2 - have 3 pt function while tractor valve is in detent: Install the power beyond in this plug and run another hose back to "B" port of tractor valve. Typically valve work ports are marked A & B to one valve spool, C & D for the next spool, E & F for the third, etc. This will allow 3 pt function unless you are driving a post at the time. The driver needs that large direct to tank return to dump the oil out of the driver cylinder fast without restriction to obtain speed and force.
