Does any make (or use) and extension cable for the welding cables. Thinking a male and female connector on a cable, plug the found clamp into it then that cable to the welder, etc. Sort of an extension cord idea - is that safe and/or possible?

What would the preferred method be, an 8/3 extension cord for the power cord or extending the working leads? It would be a lot cheaper to buy 1 cable instead of 2 , inquiring minds want to know.

Tweco style connectors are all interchangeable. Dinse is different. Copies of Tweco connectors are about $12 a set. Genuine Tweco are a little less than double that. For 90% of stuff the copies are fine. Get the 400 amp copies.
