What SKU?/brand/model? Thanks.

If the link below is what you're referring to it's $40/each....
Commercial ElectricModel # 54103161(171)
4 ft. LED Linkable White Shop Light $39.97 /each

That is the one. Is on sale now in Auburn Mass. I guess other stores may follow with the sale or on line maybe

Ok thanks I think a few of those would work out fine for the storage area
Night time interior pictures.

Standing under the LED, looking up at it to show the light pattern on the roof.

It is 52 feet to the other end of the barn.

The shadow line on the floor is 4 feet from the wall the LED is mounted on.

I like low bay metal halide lights but they're expensive, high wattage and take some time to warm up. The plus side though is that I was about to light up a 25 x 50 shop like daylight with just one 400W fixture, which puts off about 41,000 lumens. When I'm painting stuff, I need lots of light.

Ya, ya gots to love HID metal halide lighting. Very bright. I have 5,000 watts of metal halide lighting up my horse arena. Its like daylight at night

Just wanted to say thanks, old gray, for the tip about these lights. Home Depot app on my phone still shows the $39 plus price, but I picked up 2 at the $25ea price at the Westfield, Ma store yesterday.

As far as light circuits go, I have three in my building. Medium density of light in the entry/work area, lower in the storage area and then a third circuit to double the lighting density over the work benches. I used T8 4' fixtures but I think Menards has LED fixtures on sale for about $25 now.

So question for the smart ones. I was told to be wary of Flourescent lights in wood shops (things with saws) as it the flicker of the ballast could create the visual effect of the saw not spinning.

With the new digital balasts on these Flourescent systems, is this still a concern?

I have always had fluorescent lighting in my woodworking areas, and have never experienced the phenomenon of a saw blade appearing to be stationary.

Ive wired several commercial woodworking shops ....all with fluorescent lights. No complaints.
