How high would you have made the inside ceiling for a lift and what size OHD..??......

Hind sight is 20-20, but I'm still in the planning stage for my garage (hopefully will do the dirt/concrete work this summer.....

!2'x20' minimum on the OHD with a minimum 16' ceiling. Then a 9' standard as the second door. Higher or lower depending on what you want to pull in and lift. IMHO :)
If it's not too late in the plans, add a strategic beam or such for a gantry.
I've been making plans for mine for a while :)

I have most of what I need, I just need more space to put it in. Since that's a long way off, my wish list includes making what I have more compact. I want to build a cabinet for my table saw that also houses my router (router table style) and has a fold down place for my bench grinder. I want a pull out drawer for the sawdust and storage drawers built into any free space underneath. It will have retractable legs, of course, so I can roll it out into the driveway for the big cuts.

I'm still collecting similar ideas for how to maximize space for a vertical band saw, wood lathe, horizontal band saw, chop saw, drill press, and vice. I feel like I have my welder pretty well accomodated.

No question about it,a plasma cutter.Actually its more of a "want" than a "need".

But not just any plasma cutter...I really want a Hypertherm Powermax 45.
Big enough to do anything i want...I really am tired of buying gas for my torch.
and,to the best of my knowledge, they are made in the USA.
