Tractor
MF 1433V
Hi all,

I find myself the owner of a MF1433V. I found this site while researching the tractor. Initial use will be to rebuild our yard, which was damaged in a little storm in Pensacola last Sept. In the future if it becomes a small revenue generator it would please me immensely. I had borrowed the neighbors JD 790(?) which although priced right was a bit of an imposition. I decided to find a tractor with30+ HP, and ended up with the MF.The tractor has oversized wheels and tires(R-4?), and a BH M246 FEL. The questions I have for the forum are:
1.Is there a really good RPM this tractor likes.
2.Are there any quirks using or maintaining that I should be aware of.
3.Do to the low hrs on the tractor are there any break in dos and don'ts I should know.
4.When is the first scheduled main.

Its a used tractor(Barely)W/5 hrs.and I am not sure what Literature will be with it, but plain to
stock up on the necessary manuals in the future. (I will pick the tractor up this week)

Thanks in advance for any help and or information that is contributed.

Gordon

Welcome to TBN jstlucky,

I am responding to the following questions as I have a Massey Fergusson GC2300 and just finished reading the manual cover to cover. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

3.Do to the low hrs on the tractor are there
any break in dos and don'ts I should know.

Break in don't - Don't do things in the first 50 hours that cause the engine to lug. The first 50 hours are a breakin period and you do not want to over do it.

4.When is the first scheduled main.

The first scheduled maintenance is at 50 hours. I hear that the metal parts are "mating" during this time so extra metal will be in the fluids. At 50 hours the dealer will recommend a battery of checks including changing motor oil and hydraulic fluid.

You should definitely get yourself a manual from the dealer. You may also get one on the Agco Website.

Good luck and enjoy,

skivt

Gordon,

Hi, and Welcome!!!!

Your MF tractor manual will outline break-in, maintenance, service, rpm operations, etc... If you dod not get one, check with MF to order one.

I suggest posting this in the MF forum to better catch the attention of other owners of the same tractor.

Good Luck,

First, welcome to TBN. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Second, the thread has been moved to the proper forum.
Third, there's no need to hit Return after 30 characters, just type and the paragraph will automatically be formatted.

MikePA,
Thanks for moving the post. I can post on this forum now also, when I tried last night I couldn't get the post button to work. When I thought about the post last night, I thought I should have added 1433V in the subject as a teaser. Moving the post was brought up by Chiege.
Thanks for your prompt and friendly help.
