I had heard this was coming earlier this year so I stocked up on T6 5W40. I ended up with more than 10 gallons and was able to use their rebate to drop the price even further.
Shortage or did I get finessed?

No diesel oil in 3 ww stores in my edge of the Dallas area. Glad I went on a buying binge last year with that and a lot of necessities.

Went to NAPA yesterday to get some filters. While there, the new guy made a comment about oil. This brought my memory back to me being 'solicited' to buy their 30 weight. To which I then asked if they had any.
He said they didn't have any and it's been very difficult for them to get any in. (suggesting ostensibly that they HAVE had it in). He pointed to a pallet of some oil in middle of store saying they had a hard time getting whatever it was in stock and when they do, whoosh, it's gone.
So I thought I'd circle back to this to fall on my sword for being a bit cautious on the sales pitch I was told when this began. Seems the guy was trying to do me a favor and I appreciate that more now, than I did then.

Yeah, sad that's the case. Been working toward 8 months for a while, it's expensive. We're trying to get to a year but not sure we can store that much but the what we have has already been cracked into several times to cover when we haven't been able to find what we were looking for, not many "needs" in shortage but lots of "wants".
