Shoud I trust Chinese chain and ratchet binders for hauling?

How do you use the chain for crude leveling?

I have a 2x 20' chunks of 1/2" G70 I might want to try that with.

If you had two tractors, and you drug a heavy chain between them at that same speed, It will level off the high spots and fill in the low spots to an extent. I have seen large chains drug between two bulldozers to clear land of brush and small trees, and it levels it somewhat also.

I think the author was referring to using the beater chain to drag a pallet, which performed the function of crude levelling. The chain wasn't doing the levelling, the pallet he was dragging with the beater chain was doing the levelling.

I use it for dragging - logs, brush, pallets for crude leveling etc, etc.
