I don't:laughing:.

1*Rite.

2*But just like the 2000s the smaller tractor will not mow out over ditches and road banks
3*which still leaves a lot of hand trimming with with a weed eater and or a push mower .
4*I have a lot of large wide open spaces to mow
5*so AWS wouldn't do anything for me.
A lot more minutes.

Really? Have you every tried a AWS? I owned a 2305 with a 62" deck for 3 years before switching to a X749 , when it comes to mowing and snow blowing there is no comparison, the X749 is faster every time. Due to my work load I hired a lawn service to do my Lake property ( 2 acres) and the zero turns they use are only slightly faster and they tear the crap out of the lawn.

The 2305 and similar sized tractors are compromise designs, yes you can do loader work but it is slow and not very stable, the same applies to mowing. To each his own and to those that can afford them the X700 is a wonderful tractor.

Yep. Most of us know how objective Mr. Brown's opinions are. And w.r.t. ditches, most I can mow right through. If I can't mow the ditch, nothing short of a transverse flail could do it either.

Mr Browns property is for the most part wide open. you could mow his property with anything.

For some of us we need more manueverablility and the AWS makes a big difference. This is where the Deere 700 series really proves its worth in manuevering through the trees and obstacles. For my work reducing the hand labor to a minimum is very important and noteworthy, that is why I bought the X749. So far it is making alot of difference in the hand labor and just on the current job has reduced the extra help needed by 50 hrs roughly. That makes my ROI look good.

Most of us working stiffs can't buy one of everything, so we have to make choices that allow the machines to overlap in size and function getting the most bang for the buck. In most cases I have found I can get close enough using the 110tlb and 4520 (without a fel) that the cleanup is easily done with the X749. This is working for me but others may choose to buy a 2X20 series or 3x20 series instead and buy a smaller mower and maybe a larger 5000 series tractor for open areas. Alot depends on your own circumstances.
