Aside from cosmetics, was there any real difference between the higher end 'Cudas and the Challenger?

Ok, when I hit the lotto, one of those will be beside the Mustang in the now 6 bay garage.........they will share weekend duty, one for Saturday, one for Sunday. That is one awesome car!

( Another comment made earlier was that a $24k car to an employee was not going to save the company.. Well, dont you think that if you multiplied that number by 1000, it would help? Even a used car of the company you work for would keep another vehicle of competing make on the showroom floor, thus helping justify your job.. )

Not when your losing billions of dollars a quarter.
Case in point - how long do you hold on to your cars?
I get a new one every two years, my other "personal" vehicles are six + years old......

Point taken, but does that mean we should all just buy something else and let the company fend for themselves? When they go out of bussiness because no one is buying the cars, maybe that one car you buy every 6-8yrs might have had an impact, no matter how small every drop in the bucket counts.. I still dont get it, I understand if you prefer one car to another, but you cant blame it on quality or lack of interest.. Each company has something for everyone, most vehicles today have equal quality, no matter what you hear on the American news channels, forign cars have recalls too.. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

O.K., so now my tongue in cheek "company store" comments keep coming back to mind:

You make cars and pay your employees money.
They give you back the money so you can make more cars.
You pay them to make more cars.
They give the money back so can make more cars.
You pay them again.
They give the money back again.
If this cycle stops, your company will go belly up? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Sounds like a pyramid scheme.

/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Sure does, but doesnt that support my point of buying what you build to keep your job? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Only the folks at the top of the pyramid get rich. The farther you get away from the top, the more you have to give to get anything back. The car workers can buy as many cars as they can from the company, but they will get the least benefit of anyone in the organization.

Ok that's what I'm talking about!! You can see the old lines in that challenger. I think it needs a touch more refining but you can sure see the potential there.

My livelyhood has depended on the auto industry for 18 years, specifically ford and gm but I personally have never bought a new car. My wife has bought new cars (and some used) and I bought a new boat with two gm motors in it /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.
I agree with fords decision, all the domestics have that policy but not at all sites. If the name on the building isnt on your car, you dont get to park there, dont like it? Well.....

Want to talk about about controversial parking policies: http://www.uawlocal245.org/newsDetail.asp?newsID=226 This was big news about a year ago

Maybe its time to buy a new car, I heard those hyundias are cheap, wonder if they are hiring...

Seen 'em both up close, like the camaro better, the Dodge is too close to the original, Cowboydoc, if the camaro was white with blue stripes down the center you would think different.
