( My livelyhood has depended on the auto industry for 18 years, specifically ford and gm but I personally have never bought a new car. My wife has bought new cars (and some used) and I bought a new boat with two gm motors in it /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.
I agree with fords decision, all the domestics have that policy but not at all sites. If the name on the building isnt on your car, you dont get to park there, dont like it? Well.....
Want to talk about about controversial parking policies:

Maybe its time to buy a new car, I heard those hyundias are cheap, wonder if they are hiring... )
Funny, I've relied on the industry for 16yrs now..When I was at a dealer making better money than most young people did, I bought my first and last new vehicle.. I do support the company I work for, and totally agree with the policy.. The reason, I wont buy new is that the market is making it cost prohibitive. I personally cant afford the $60,000 truck I would like to have, at least I cant justify the payment. With all the sales offered last year to inflate sales, residual values took a hit. When a good number of newly manufactured vehicles loose 50% of their intitial value after the first couple two years, I just cant see it. So, yes I support them, but I'll let someone else buy the vehicle first and take the loss /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif..
As for the Dodge. Never been a Dodge guy, but I do like that car.. One of my dreams is to take an old car, maybe a '34 Ford and put a modern drivetrain under it. Fuel injected V-8 with all the OBDII emissions components on it(believe it or not), 6 spd manual(maybe 5spd auto), modern rear axle with disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, tuned suspension, etc..(sound familliar, maybe 2003 Cobra drivetrain 390hp 390lbft tq /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)........ Not only would I have an old "clasic" I would have a dependable 20 sum mile to the gallon car with nearly unlimited tuning possibilities... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Best of both worlds I think..... Wouldnt you buy one if it was done right?
This is a cool trend, if you havent seen the GT-500, hold onto your socks /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif....
