New Holland 1925
I have a NH 1925 running a 5 foot Rhino shredder. The other day I shredded in a heavily vegetated drainage area on my place and to get down to the bottom of the area and shred the sides of the ditch, I had to raise the shredder to almost a "transport" position, otherwise it would have drug (scalped) badly into the side of the ditch. I read somewhere that it is possible to damage the PTO if one operates the shredder in gear at this position. I didn't hear or feel anything that appeared problematic, but I want to know what to be careful of so as not to damage the PTO or other part of the tractor, nor do I want to do something dangerous. What should I be careful to do (or not to do) when this situation comes up again. Thanks. Rob

I would think it not to be a problem unless the driveline got in a bind. Or too much angle at the U Joints.
