That "brush hog" looks unbreakable, and probably cost 5x what most spend for brush hog. It's impressive!

Did your tractor ever bog down, as not enough PTO HP?

Just ran it for the first time, worked great. First impressions is that it is like having a 16' trailer hooked to you at all times, swing wide, don't Jack-knife it, backing is fun, etc.

Backing is fun... NOT! Ha! I've found that pull-types are great going forward, but mine doesn't backup as good as a bass boat trailer. :)

Looks like a beast of a cutter though. Enjoy.

After using a pull type cutter a while backing up really isn't a problem.

Power seems fine to me, it maintains 540 PTO RPM no problem and I am probably 90% throttle.
I borrowed a 7' and put it through its paces to make sure I was satisfied with the power before making this big of a purchase.

If the grass is really tall, I will just scoot over some and cut less than a full swath if needed.

I have some pasture that hasn't been cut or grazed in 5+ years and if I have time I will make a video cutting it to show everyone how it does.

Backing up should not be a problem. If you want to experience a "backing up" problem - try a true farm wagon. I'm FINALLY able to back mine up - and go where I want it to - for about 100 feet.

That sir, is an art, I have NOT mastered. Congrats!

Yea - well, after seven years of practice - something has gotta happen. Either I DO get better or I sell my darn farm wagon. I think God made farm wagons just to humble folks. Try hooking your tractor up to this and backing it thru a grove of ancient Ponderosa pines. After so many years - I just got tired of always trying to find an exit route that meant driving forward.

Ran it for about 30 minutes before the rain moved in.

Those Horst gears are so nice and tight, I find them quite easy to back up... It's the old wore out ones that are harder...
