Shuttle shift issue

I have a DK5010 that had the same problem. I have no idea why Kioti welded the pivot to thin floor material when there is thick steel next to it. I fixed it with a piece of angle iron and some cutting and drilling.
I posted a bunch of photos. I'll find that and send you the pointer.

DK5010HS shuttle shift repair

My tractor is a 2016 DK5010HS model with 830 hours on it. Some time ago my Kioti mechanic mentioned that some have strengthened the floorboard where one pivot pin is located. I just added a steel plate for strength. The pivot pin is welded to a 1/8" steel bracket, but that bracket is only welded...

I am not a welder so I drilled and used self tapping bolts - 2 in the pivot bracket, and two in the heavier steel.

It has held up well for 2 years/200 hrs.

Fantastic!!!! thanks a bunch for the insight!!!! how long has the fix held up? I might throw a quick weld on there then do a bracket like you did. You did a nice job. Do you think the 1/8 bracket was thick enough? I love my tractor. But its things like this that really irritate me.

1/8" angle iron is plenty strong enough even though cutting it the way I did weakens it somewhat. The vertical part is bolted to 3/16" plate steel and there are two screws through the pivot bracket so it will not move.

I installed it in Sept 2023 and shifting is still very smooth.
