Side view LED lights

Ok I want to see the strobe whip.

The new Led light bars are spectacular. I have no practical use for one but I would definitely buy one if they weren't so expensive.

I haven't messed with strobe whips for years BUT if they are still available they will be found at dune buggy/off-road supply places. They went a long way to avoiding off-road night time collisions of duners, 4-wheelers, and such when night riding in the more frequented desert venues.

Some of the guys used to run light bars just like THE MAN and it was neat looking at night BUT having your strobe (or bright LED's) on a whip to get it up higher makes it so much more visible.

When I did the install I also put a pull connector at the quick release and one up by the FEL so if I need to disconnect it's still easy to do./QUOTE]

Paul,

Would you mind posting a few pics that highlight the wiring you did for these lights? Also, any additional info would be great such as are they always hot, did you add a switch, etc.

Thanks a ton!

Not a problem my buddy. I just snapped a few pics for you. As you can see I put a two cavity connector down by the skid steer attachment and the other one is up on the right side of the FEL. If I need to disconnect these two items I simply just unplug the harness. The power source for the plow strobes are supplied via the running lights/signal light. I just ran the wiring right to the light. The LED's use so little power it's the perfect place to hook into and avoiding running the wiring to the inside of the cab. . Hope this helps and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Paul

4short, you could add the LED wips in place of those blade edge markers i see in your picture. I know its not practical but since youve got power already down to the snow blade it wouldnt be too much trouble to power the wips eather.
by the way i love your tractor even though its a Kioti killer.

I thought about adding those whip lights but after looking into it I thought the extra wires would clutter the look of the blade. I may have to revisit it and see if I can conceal the wires. I think there a good idea.

The Kioti killer was kind of a local joke on my behalf. I had a Kioti ordered but the dealer could tell me when I would receive the machine so I went over to the Kubota dealer and bought the tractor I have now and that's why I called it the "Kioti Killer: :)

I have to say Kioti builds a fine machine and IF my dealer had been on the ball I'd have one parked in my yard. By the way. The dealer never received the tractor I ordered until that next spring. Glad I didn't wait.
All that being said I'm happy with the tractor I have now and the dealer is second to none and I've purchased three machine from them in three years.
Thanks for your comments and thoughts. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

I'm late to this party, but I've got to say GREAT JOB!

Since I live on a private road, with almost no traffic, I only added work lights to my Kioti CK30.

But on my personal vehicles I only run Whelen LED's. On my Ford F250, I have a full Liberty lightbar, plus a combination of other models all over the truck. (I respond directly to most accidents and other fire department related incidents and I want to be seen.) On my commuter vehicle - Ford Focus - I have some Whelen TIR 6's in the grille, and a pair or the ne M7 led's in the rear window.

The new M series leds are AMAZING. They are reasonably priced, have multiple patterns controlled by an internal flasher, and are true surface mounted lights.

By the way, I have no personal involvement with Whelen. I'm just a big fan of a company that is American owned, operated and manufactured.
