There a place under your personal settings (via My Home) that allow you to upload a photo without having to post it in a thread. Once uploaded ALL your past posts will have the new picture -- same holds true for your signature text.

No need to keep adding posts. Once you change your signature -- every post you have made in the past will show your change.

Are you trying to do this?

... or do you want a photo to be placed in the left column (e.g. My headshot)?

I can't get my picture small enough to fit and still beable to see it. I'm using microsoft paint.
Also, don't you need the correct image here in order to have it on your signature?

Here's an 80x80 image -- which is small, so I did not include the entire tractor. You can use this as your avatar, photo, thumbnail, or whatever that 80x80 image is referred as.

Personally, I'm not a fan of putting pictures at the end of posts as a signature. But every image you have uploaded so far will work -- you just aren't using the image tag properly or have included too many characters in your signature.
