Guys,
Thx for all you comments. I have thought of a lot of the things suggested (old tank, pipe etc.) I think the wood framing (2x6, 2x4 "studs" will be the waqsiest way to go. I'm even thinking of fabricating up the intermediate 2xs4 sections that would fill in each of the quarters as stand alone sections that would then fill in between the four 2 x 6 studs that would be standing all braced forming a "cross" (top view)/ One of the guys is picking up the dome sections tomorrow -in his pick up-can't be too heavy.

I'll fill you in.

(This site is the best-thx for everyone's interest)

2x4 or 2x6 framing, and make a round structure. The trick will be the top and bottom plates. 2x12s and make circular sections. Then cover the outside with building tin. Make it in two 12' sections, placing one on top of another. The tin should form around the outer circles nicely.

Build it just like a pole barn. Drill below the frost line and set your post in gravel.
Made this gazebo out of a "West Virginia State Flower".
