Well, after the holiday delays and my little "heart anomaly," dust is flyin' again on my pond silt cleaning project. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The dozer spend 27 hours hauling out the silt and I've been back for about 10 hours on my tractor, smoothing out and finishing the project. I don't have all the pictures yet and with dialup, I don't know how many I'll get posted, but I'll start posting pictures to show just how the project is coming. I'll continue posting over the next couple of days and into the coming weekend when I hope to have most of this project finished. There's no rain forcasted for another week, so I should have plenty of time to get this done. I guess that's the good and bad news. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Here's a picture of the dozer cutting a ramp down into the silt. Because he was so heavy, he had to start well back out of the pond to keep from sinking when he filled his 3-1/2 yard bucket.

Here is what happens when the ground is soft under the track loader. With a full bucket, the nose takes a dive instead of the raising the bucket. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

This silt is deep! At the deepest point, we estimated 10'.
