Snow Attachments Size of Front Snow Plow for TC34DA?

Does your blower have the long crank handle that you can reach from the seat, that shouldn't be to bad,on long runs you shouldn't need to adjust much unless the wind messes with you.

One thing I was thinking, you say you have a steep drop off the side of the driveway, My brother lives in Southern Vermont and has a very steep long and wyndy driveway. He leaves snow banked up on the edge of the areas that drop off to prevent any one from going over the edge.

Yea the blower has a handle I can reach behind me. Takes quite a few turns to move it anywhere, but it is silky smooth, unlike some of the new cheap units I have seen.

Yea, we usually leave a bank of snow on the downhill side just for that purpose. Years ago my wife rolled her Trooper in a crossing drainage ditch that has now been filled in with a longer pipe and lots of fill. The flatlanders still don't like our driveway with their 2 wd cars.

A followup message. I have the 72" blade on order from Michigan Iron and Equipment. They have been just beyond great. They e-mailed me today and said they made a mistake in the shipping fees, after getting the exact shipping price they realized they quoted me too much and will drop the price accordingly!!! Saved me $80!!!! I'll let you know how the blade works out.

The blade was delivered today, only 2 days from shipping! The quality looks A1 and the service was A1+ (thank you Michigan Iron and Equipment). Played just a little bit with it easily pushing back the edges of the driveway which were harder to do with the rear blade. I'm hoping on some snow to see how it will really do.

My 6' standard duty plow was $1595 delivered. I believe they only make them in full foot lengths. I was quoted the following for the 7 ft. medium duty plow, which is a heavier duty plow than the one I ordered.

Thanks guys for the great responses. I just orderd the lighter 72" blade as everyone has suggested. I ordered it from Robert at Michigan Iron and Equipment. He has gone above and beyond answering all of my questions. It ended up being his recommendation also to go with the lighter blade with the QA for the loader arms. I am also going with hydraulic angle. They will deliver it to Vermont with the hydrualic angle for a total of $1675. It will go to manufacturing next Wednesday the 19th and will ship on Monday the 24th, although I'd prefer it to ship today!!!

You made the CORRECT choice in dealing with Michigan Iron & equipment.Bob,denise and tony are super folks to deal with.Bob made me a new snowplow setup (hydrualic lift and angle)for my Kubota RTV 900 I could not be happier with the quality of the snowplow and great service.I suggest anyone looking to buy a snowplow for your tractor,ATV or UTV give the folks at Michigan Iron(517-625-4590) a call,I think you will be very pleased.coobie

Finally had a chance to play er... work with some real snow. We got about 7" last night. Used the new front blade, so much faster and better than the rear blade I used last year. It was a bit cold er... 5º but I dressed for it so was never cold during the 30 minutes outside. The rear plow would have taken me almost 2x the time. I'll get photos when I get the chance.
