Some photos of my blade setup with the sander on. I now have the used rear New Holland 716C snow blower that I picked up on. After a little over a year I finally have a scratch... I was using the rear snow blower and used the top hydraulic link to tilt up the blower so it would not scrape the gravel. When I went to lift the blower with the normal 3pt lift, I was not looking back. The handle for the chute rotater got caught under the fender. I heard a click click and immediately dropped the blower. I now have a slightly customized rear fender. A little nick (1/4") where the rod was and a small crack (3") (not through) in the end of the fender, but not running out to the edge, so I doubt if it will spread. The rod was pretty bent up so I used a large pipe wrench to straighten it back out. Dang. Oh well, it could have been worse, like taking out the entire fender...
BTW, I am glad I do not rely upon the snow blower as backing up really sucks compared to the front plow on the arms. I also think that any worries about lateral pressure are misplaced. If I push a load of snow with the plow fully angled and in float position the tractor still want to just go straight so the pressure on the arms appears to be evenly spread between the two arms.
