Skid plate for GC series tractors

I would imagine if I had a better 110 welder then the 90 dollar one it would weld better, not much for adjustment but anyway my plate fit perfect except it hung to low and after looking it over it looks like I will not use the front hookup system for the deck but I will make a bar to go across the frame underneath and then make it so the front of the plate hooks to that, 1/4 inch flat iron and a couple eyelets and a couple snap hooks and then it will be tucked up by the pto and back by the filter, everything is still ok.

Can you take a pic of it hanging with the front hookup bracket?

When I finish this next project I will put it back on and take a pick, probably will be later next week.

I did not compensate for the thickness of the deck so where the factory arm hooked up it dropped down about 4-5 inches, the back went up but the center hung down, think if I put stoppers on the tab it will not drop, I will put the front tabs on the top like the back two tabs and then put a stop in so it does not pivot so much.

Pic of what I am doing now, have the wood all cut just need to put it together on my metal carry all frame, mine will be a just bit different but not much.

Oh man, you are making me tired just reading about all of your projects in the works, ha

All I have is time and little money, do not care about the money but time is the one thing I have had to learn to deal with and I do not want to end up just sitting around doing nothing in a chair so if I can go out and attempt to do something when I feel good then I am in a better place and it does not bother me if I fail or if a project works, just knowing I put forth the effort is satisfying for me.

If I remember I will take and post few pics of the ballast box build, going out in a bit to see what I can do or mess up hahaha.

Well I got the sides on and now just need to trim the back even and go from there, I might run out of screws hahaha.

Ok well I ran out of screws but that’s ok, I just need to go around and add screws to some boards and I need to buy two hinges and a bolt latch and it’s done except for a painting this spring, still need two rear side posts but I need screws.

Ok now the carry all I made I can remove it from the carry all metal frame where as the one I copied is bolted to the frame, I made mine removable so I can still use it to move pallets and other bigger items, I still need to screw in some lengths of pvc pipe for shovel and rake holders and then I will mount a chainsaw blade sheath for the saw and I will add a few other small items for chains and smaller tools.
I guess I am happy with it being I have 54 dollars into wood and screws and 95 dollars into the used carry all so for 149.00 dollars I think I will get my use out of it.

I am going to do some trimming on it maybe so it does not look so Square ish but first I need to see what it looks like with the rear gate.

Then on to my next project.

Great job, but do not forget to add a generator and the "coffee maker", ha.
