I put my order in for a Kubota L3830 HST with TnT and LA 723 loader with HD bucket. Still debating on the R3's vs R4's. Financing is 0.00% from Kubota for 36 months. I decided on the Kubota for several reasons. After checking out JD's 4410 and 4310, which are both nice tractors and then NH's TC 33D, I came too the conclusion that Kubotas HST is easily the best compared to either of the others. Smooth and effortless and even pedal pressure regardless of load. My L48 had HST and I loved it, never had a problem with it. Secondly, just a look over at the loaders and it's pretty easy to see who puts the meat into their loaders, quite frankly its a no brainer. The specs exceed in virtually every category. The HD bucket is so much better made then those I saw on either the JD or NH. The price is very competitve as well. Warranty work is superb from the Kubota dealer, even though I never really needed any for my L48. The TnT is a custom setup over what Kubota offers. I like the "old style" arrangement even though it is not nearly as clean as that from Kubota. It has TnT and a third quick couple remote for other items like my hydraulic rippers on my boxscraper. The new seats are superb. The foot adjust for the steering is great. I like being able to see digitally the speed of the PTO. I like having a analog tach. The resetable "time on" or hour "trip o meter" is neat. The whole control setup is really improved. The 3 pt hitch position control is great with plenty of travel and ultra smooth. The 3 speed shifter is also much better then the old 10 series. I like the new loader control valve setup over the old style as well. The power steering with the new front axle is slick. Enough rambling, the dealer will assemble it next week, he has a load of sold Kubotas in front of mine. The new Kubotas are really striking a cord here and with good reason, they're great!
I was all set on a L3130 HST but several dealers both said, "you know, since you had a L48, your going to be a little let down on the less powerful L3130, you might want to consider the L3830. Had you never had the L48, you would never have known much difference." Had it not been for their advice, I'd have a L3130 HST, my pick for the best price/value/performance tractor available, Rat... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
