That's what I was thinking. I haven't yet taken a good look at mine to see where I might attach it. One possibility was just welding a peice of flat stock over the hole where the hitch pin goes now, then drilling a hole through it, ending up with a thicker piece of metal where thehitch pin hole is egging out. I need to look at the rest of this rear bracket to see if it needs reinforcing as well. I wish I had taken a look at the sleeve hitch at Sears (rather than just at the picture). Even though I don't need the raise and lower, it would be interesting to see where/how they attached it to the tractor.

Here's a few pix of the sleeve hitch on a Murray. It sounds like the Craftsman is pretty similar. The mechanical lift provides quite a bit of leverage to lift attachments. I have a disk harrow and a box blade that use the sleeve hitch. As was mentioned by others it is a nice feature to be able to lift the attachment at the end of a pass. I had a homemade rake that didn't lift and it was useable but it was a real pain. I'm planning on converting it to work with the sleeve hitch so I can lift it.

I have a sleeve hitch on the back of my Murray garden tractor. It provides enough leverage to easily lift the self-powered 36" wide rototiller at the end of rows. This works well when the job is too big for the 20" Troy-Bilt and too small for the 60" Mashio on the back of my tractor. The sleeve hitch provides much more than just a stronger hitch point for hauling a cart. Ron in Central New York

Great pics... thanks... I could probably have something made up like that, but it probably would end up being a whole lot easier to just by the $129 part at Sears.

You said you have the discs, correct? Do they work OK?
I would use that to turn the soil in the garden that ranges from 5000 to 10000sq ft (maybe more in the future)

Once I tilled the soil this spring it is not too hard... Old farm fields.

I have a 14hp Turfmaster tractor made by Western International, Inc with a sleeve hitch on it. This company made tractors and implements under several different names including but not limited to: HOMKO, LAWN SCOUT, AMF,TURFMASTER, and DYNAMARK.
The model number for the hitch is: 5667-0200.
Attached is a picture from the owners manual.

BTW, I don't have any of the implements.
