Here are a couple of links of companies who think outside the box to get odd jobs done... in this case slope mowing.
Never heard of these guys, sorta looks like a Gravely on steriods.

These are just wierd, but I'll bet they work well.

This one is a remotely controlled oddity sold in the UK. (we never get the good stuff here) /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Ransomes Spider Mower

I saw highway workers using something like that DewEze. It looked pretty funny...but I guess it works!

I think that Spider mower would be cool because no operator needs to be in the danger zone.
Thanks to TBN, I heard about a Kubota that was similar with remote control, but I've never seen one. Kubota's website in their prior products doesn't list it either. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

This is a link to the only Kubota slope mower I could find. It doesn't appear to be remote controlled however, judging from the hand controls I see. Adobe Acrobat Reader required to view. John

I saw this one day with a brushhog attached. He was clearing the small trees along a power line. It looks like it could go anywhere. Spyder 2

That's an awesome piece of equipment. I could probably live for a few years on what it costs! John

LarryD, that gadget is too cool. Looks like it could take a slope pretty darn well. I bet its way overkill to mow with though! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Can't talk about slope mowers without considering the PowerTrac machines. Their PT-1850 has been dubbed the world's only 45 degree slope mower. I have visited their factory in Tazewell, VA and seen the beast crosswise on a measured 45 degree incline. It is most impressive.
