My old internet provider people were trained to go into a long spiel about looking at my settings etc when I was having problems or that it was my modem, my computer etc
/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gifAre you using the same ISP I am?/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif They have the standard spiel: check the settings, it's your modem, your computer, or your phone lines (in my case the phone lines go through at least 3 different phone companies, and maybe more, just to get to my ISP).
Of course, there are other businesses or professions who also have standard speils, too. My wife has fussed at me for not going to a doctor for a complete physical in 9 years, but I already know the spiel; quit smoking, get more exercise (I'd like to see him follow me around), don't eat anything that tastes good, and if it hurts, take an aspirin. And 9 years ago, that profound diagnoses and advice only cost $1,800./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
