I had estimated a harvest of about 100 pounds this fall… after todays inspection of two of the seven colonies, Im revising that to 180-200 pounds. These bees had a wonderful year. The new shop will be buzzing with extracting and bottling soon, as well as building more equipment for the 2023 season!

The barn has made hive building in the winter a pleasure! 25F outside, 55F indoors with this little propane heater.

30 degrees warmer is a significant improvement in temperature with just one heater for such a big space!!!!! I see some insulation in the walls, what did you do for the ceiling?

It’s all 1” reflective foam. Walls and ceiling

That is also with the heater set at 35k but! It’s capable of 80k

I'm guessing that 1 inch of foam is only going to give you R6 to R7 at best, so it must be that your heater is really impressive to heat that big of an area so well!!!!!

It’s only set at 40k btu. The insulation is minimal yes

Got some sturdy shelving from Costco, wow, what a difference! More room for equipment!
