Sure looks like somebody tried rubbing it out and failed. I'm guessing it's a massive scratch that will start to rust once it gets some rain.
That’s my guess… I dont understand why they would even place it up there. They already know I’m looking for this sort of stuff. The barn has a few small scratches, like, three… small. I can accept nothing is perfect, but that one looks egregious

The guys came out to install my weathervanes, and had said they believed the blem in the photo was dirt and adhesive residue from the protective plastic coating that comes on the cap. Sure as ****, they cleaned up the roof and it looks great.

I cannot wait to move in!

Nice weathervanes!!!! Good to hear it wasn't a big issue. When I put the metal on my roof, I didn't get all the plastic off of one of the pieces of flashing. I saw it after it was up, but I had already moved the ladder, so I told myself that I would get it off later. That turned into a year and by then, the plastic had baked onto the metal and it's proven to be impossible to get off. It bothered me a lot for quite awhile, but while typing this, I just realized that I haven't noticed it in awhile I guess I got used to it, because I just looked, and it's still there.

I just mowed the adjacent field last night. I typically carefully squeeze the trail mower into my attached garage… not this night. I rolled open that 16’ door, and drove the ATV and mower into the barn, turned around, and backed it into the corner. It’s small, but amazing.

We are getting electrical installed in three weeks, and burying the downspout diverters. Aside from that it’s pretty complete. I can’t wait to get to work in it

My first lumber delivery to the new shop. I can literally pull in and turn around with the trailer!

Hung the UFO lights today. (8) 21,000 lumen lights… I won’t know how well lit it will be, until Duke gets the power on.

The electrical was inspected on the 5th… Duke Energy still has not gotten a meter up. So, my fall beehive builds will be finished at my old shop 😒

ill be moving my woodworking tools into a portion for the construction of hives and frames.
I can't tell you how many times over the years I've come squeaking close to taking the plunge. I've read books fiddled with hive designs but in the end the thing that stops me is the honey.
What the heck will do with 90-pounds of honey?

You can sell it for $10/lb, or just leave it for the bees, as they do in nature

I'm intrigued with the idea of a horizontal Langstroth hive. I've seen them built with end entry and 31 frames deep. I like that idea. What do you think?
