Small battery chain saw recommendations

if you want work done from a motor you need amperage on voltage. You could have a 1,000 volts and 1 amp-that motor will spin up fast but when you put a load on it-nothings going to happen.

On the Milwaukee cordless chainsaw and chain coming off the bar, I'm definitely not happy. The chain is _very_ sensitive to being pinched or poked and will come off the bar easily. I'm trying to be more cautious about cuts that can pinch. Also to be careful when cutting in dense brush. But I never had this problem with other saws, it's specific to the Milwaukee, and it seems to cost me 20-30 minutes a day when I have to find a flat area to set the saw down and re-chain it several times, generally without the benefit of my eyeglasses since I tend not to have them when I'm out in the woods.

There is one other potential problem too. When I fill it with bar oil it it leaks just setting normally on the table or shelf. Maybe there's some fill level I need to pay attention to, but I'm definitely wiping up a lot of oil in my workshop lately. Though in this regard my Echo chainsaw started doing the same thing. Perhaps my oil isn't viscous enough or it's just Revenge of the Chainsaw week here in Vermont.

I have yet to see a chain saw that does not leak bar oil out when it sits for a while. Guess that's why the manufacturer says to drain the oil out if it is not to be used for the next 30 days.

Same here. I solved that problem by putting an oilsorb diaper under each saw

My 12” cordless Makita does not leak oil as long as it stored reasonably flat. Every other chainsaw I ever had leaked no matter what.

My battery Stihl 14in doesn't leak either... yet. And what a great saw!

For whatever reason, every gasser I have owned leaked more than it seems they should.
