Small frame Glock advice?

Oh well, so be it. If you couldn’t tell that the post was facetious by the smiley faces, I guess it went over your head.

The point was I have not found myself disagreeing much with you either.

Facetious
3.lacking serious intent; concerned with something nonessential, amusing, or frivolous: a facetious person.

Okay, I didn't look up the specific definition for that word, but you nailed the meaning I intended for my use of that word as describing that post. We don't have a thumb's up smiley to use (as a matter of fact, what smileys work here anyway?), so I'll just use this one for "it's all good". :)

Heck Dargo, I have not seen that word used for a long time and had to look it up to be sure of its meaning. I wasn't even sure I was pronouncing it correctly. I always like getting new words to use.

Dargo, does that Ford PickMeUp have the shifter on the column or on the floor?

I think most people get excited about the magazine capacity on some pistols. I feel you should be able to hit your target with the first shot and if need be shoot it again to kill it. It's not how light with all the rounds its how you use it. If I was back at war I'd want the rounds because their are a lot of enimies but to carry for personal protection minimal rounds should be needed. If you can't hit the perpetrator with the first shcouple shots you're too far away or too unskilled to even be shooting in the first place. Just my opinion...

John, I agree with you if you are only carrying for defense against a person. However, I am looking at this as a gun that will be used against coyote's and dogs also. The coyote's have tried to get into our fawn pens before but do not bother the larger deer in the larger pens as much but dogs do. The coyote's attack at night which is why I wanted the laser on the new one. I am wondering if one of the tatical lights with the laser also would be a better system as I would think it would interchange between the Glock 30 and 21 would it not? This way if I do have a problem I can launch as many rounds as possible at these critters regardless if it is day or night. The last time the coyotes came up to the fawn pen we grabbed the shot gun with 6 shot and ended up killing a lawn chair the coyote ran behind. It was a two person job as one person held the light and the other shot so it wasn't very accurate as it was hard to see the sights on the shotgun.

The smaller capacity mag would still do the trick but if there is more then one I will keep shooting until they are out of range or reach the brush.

I was curious about the 21 mags working in the 30 as I have extra mags for my 21 already so I wouldn't worry about getting any extras for the 30 if the 21 worked. The more things interchange the happier I am.

I'd think that in close proximity to your home, property and family, blasting a handgun in the dark is very dangerous. A laser sight will not let you see a coyote in the dark nor will it let you see what's behind the coyote. A spotlight will. Unless you have the spotlight affixed to your gun, it will still take two people... one to light up the target and the shooter to put the laser sights on it. It all sounds very dangerous. Have you considered a better fence; electified perhaps?

The tatical light will allow me to light up the coyote enough to see his body and the laser will do its job. There are no houses behind ours to worry about. There is one neighbor across the road who does not mind our shooting near the house. Our other neighbor is about a half mile away calls us if he hears coyotes near our far pens. Any bullet shot will travel into the brush. The coyotes will also travel back into our property to the brush. There is no danger to any neighbor or equipment as there is only a buffer zone behind the pens that seperate it from the brush.

I do not shoot if there is any danger of me injuring someone or someone else's property. But in this case the only danger is hitting a coyote.

As for better fences, there are no better fences. The dogs and coyotes have never made it into our pens. However, the damage is done by them running along the pen "trying" to get in as the deer spook and crash off the fencing (8' high game fence with two single strands up to 9'). Electric won't prevent them from coming near the fence nor would it be feasible in our situation.

Here are a couple more links for you to look at. This one addresses your question about your Glocks: GLOCK "Safe Action Pistols". You want to look at the GTL 21/22.
How about this to solve your 12 Gauge light problem? OPTRONICS, INC. - Gun Lights
Here you want to look at the GLL 103.
I have tried to find someone around my area who carries it but no luck. I even tried sending an email to the manufactuerer asking what is the MSRP. They never responded. I guess they don't care if they sell any or not?
If you find one or find out the price, let us know.
