If that is "Charlie Tuna" pictured in the photo, that explains why there is less tuna in cans now. He is gone. That means he no longer will be able to reproduce and make baby tunas that would have been able to grow up, thus increasing the supply of tuna.:licking:

Yep! That poor fellow didn't have the right license, so the gov't took the tuna away from him. It would have sold for $400k+ in Japan. I'm sure the gov't sold it and pocketed the cash. The guy got nothing but a possible fine for his troubles.

That's because Canada used to sell all our small sized ones on the export market...mostly to the USA. The ones you buy now are Made In USA and are the same size as the ones you used to import from us!
