Well Bob Skurka,
153 Bob_skurka post ago you wrote you haven't had time to try your new Passport.
Have you tried your new Passport YET????
If you haven't at least admit it's not the Girl's scouts or the pool it's the magnetism of TBN. You could be a TBNolic. (new medical term).

Don I was playing with it today at the office!!!

My shop/garage is still under construction so all my projects are on hold until I can get moved into the new space. My existing garage is now a storage area for light fixtures, shelves, etc that are being moved over to the new shop over the next 45 days. I won't actually be able to really work with the Passport until I move into the new garage, unless we break something at work that needs repairs. And I may get really anxious and go pound on something with a 4 pound mallet to see if I can fix it /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Gee Bob. I could loan you my 16 year old. He can tear up an anvil. Literally! It was a cheap one though - I wanted a better one anyway. But, he has his license now. I can send him on up. First he can run into your car in the parking lot, then go to work on other things from there. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Uh, gee Dargo. Thanks for the offer. I think. But I'll pass on it this time.

Bob, July 2nd 102 degrees good time to weld.
I'm getting some quality time with my Passport.

The wife saw a panther near the house so she had me add decorative wire mesh to the breezeways screens so her kitty would not become (big) cat food. Do panthers eat house cats?

Don, not sure if you are asking that in a HOPEFUL way or not /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif, but I suspect if I saw a panther near the house I'd be changine my shorts and then adding some sort of panther proofing to protect ME.

I noticed in your photo you have a small generator on the side. Are you running the Passport off the generator or is the generator just in the picture? I have a generator in my main garage for 240, but my new garage shop is run off a sub-panel from the house, the electrician wasn't too keen about running 240v over to the new garage so I'm stuck with 120v out there, been thinking a generator may be just the ticket? That or I need to do heavy welding at the house?

I am thinking of designing a 2 row cultivator for the garden? I know I could buy one for a modest enough price, but it wouldn't be as much fun as making my own!

Bob I am running the Passport off the generator. 5550/8550KW - (a Lowe's returned/reduced to $500 Troybuilt/B&S). I have no electricity in the tractor shed. Yesterday I did all the welding on the 110 gen plug. When I took the Passport to a friends house to do some repair on his trailer I used his generator and used the 240 plug. I am still working off my first bottle of CO2.

I like quiet and my new shop will DEFINITELY have 240. My friend had similar size Honda generator and it was not that much quieter.

Using the 240 side of the generator to utilize the heavy duty penetrating power in thicker metals is a viable option. Of course that's why we got the Passport for that extra power when needed! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think the wife saw the elusive Jagurundi. I have only seen a pair once in 12 years.
