Smallest trailer a BX25 will fit on?

Any suggestions a 7x16 dump version?

I'd love to have one but all I've ever seen in that size are tandem 7000 lb axle versions which make the trailer itself heavy enough that you need a 3/4 or 1 ton to pull it. Pulling one of them with a 1/2 ton, you actually have less load capacity than a tandem 5k axle trailer would give you.

I use a 7k, 7 x 18 car hauler with a beavertail for hauling my BX25. The beavertail is nice for loading, but not a lot of clearance at the rear. It pulls quite nicely behind my F150, and has electric brakes on all 4 wheels.

You do realize how much a BX25DLB weighs ? Messicks has their rental at 3200lbs . I think that's a little much . Mine weighed in 24700lbs. Tractor, loader, backhoe, loaded rears, mower deck ,full of fuel . Keep that in mind when buying a trailer .

OMG! What did you load those rears with??? :D

The rears are loaded with rim guard . Owners manual states the tractor alone weighs 1587lbs . That is dry weight , no loader , backhoe, mower deck, or loaded tires . A friend of mine that works at the co-op in town didn't believe they weighed that much either , till we put it on the scales. But it adds up quick with all the other things . Check out Messick's site under rentals . They have their weight listed there too .
The trailer dealership near me told me that weight puts you in kind of a tuff spot buying a trailer . Too heavy for a landscape trailer , but between a car hauler or a skid steer trailer . They told me you could get away with a landscape trailer if you didn't use it often , and would need jack legs on the rear for support while loading and unloading . He said if you used it a lot ,, it would eventually bow the trailer .
My advice would be a car hauler and modify the sides and front to your liking .

Another thing to keep in mind when buying a trailer is that short trailers can be maneuvered into tighter spots but long trailers are easier to back up. Also long trailers sway less when pulling them at highway speeds. I would say buy at least a 16 foot one. Tandem axle trailers ride a lot smoother. Just because a trailer has a 3500 lb axle doesn't mean that you can load it to 3500 lbs. You need to deduct the weight of the trailer and also leave a safety margin for bumps etc. If I have a frailer with two 5200 lb axles I conciser it loaded when I have 7000 lbs gross on it. Other wise I seem to be always repairing axles.

Trailer manufactures most certainly have a safety factor built in for bumps with the numbers they publish. Their engineers, computer modeling and lawyers are more than sufficient to have that built in. A 5200# axle can safely carry 5200# including the trailer. If you feel better not loading to the max, by all means that is your choice, just don't kid yourself as to why.

A trailer with tandem 3500# axles is plenty of trailer for hauling a BX. The one in my yard is rated by the manufacture for 5002# of cargo.

Even if you filled the rears, fuel tank, and radiator with mercury you'd never hit that 12 ton you claimed earlier. But it was good for a laugh.

My experience has shown me that I need to be careful how much I load on a trailer. Otherwise I'm off to the alignment shop to get the axles straightened.... again. If I don't load a trailer to the max it seems like I don't have to go to the alignment shop nearly as often. It's not that it's expensive to get axles straightened. It's just inconvenient.
