There was a rip in the old weatherstrip where the GN hit it, otherwise that was my plan. I'll take a closer look at it to see if there is a seam it in somewhere. I think with the metal insert, it would not stretch, so reusing it might not have been an option, unless one rips the seam open and redo it once installed.

Did not know it was damaged. I thought the OEM seal might be different than the replacement. I think I would let the dealer install this. If they mess up the seal they buy the next one.

I'm starting to lean in that direction myself. That seal alone was $140! It came in a genuine JD box, so I assume its OEM?

The weatherstrip JD part number is R263632. The doors and rear side windows all use the exact same part number, so that explains why the piece I got is way too long. It had be long enough to wrap around a door panel. When I'm at the dealer next, I'll ask them about how they install this type of weatherstripping. I'm sure they have done quite a few.

I am sure it's a genuine JD replacement part, but my not be the same as used by factory?

I think its a genuine part too but, Its probably more universal for all the JD people that break doors and other things like me :D. So instead they give you a long piece instead of an actual length, because you rather have it fully sealed instead of missing 1 inch of weatherstripping.

Murphy1244 a little off topic but the company you mention VanDorn is that a company that made jail equipment in 1960s , if so I knew them worked with them and they were great people

So here's what the weatherstripping looks like up close:

jdweatherstrip.jpg

What you see above is the factory cut. I cut the metal portion with a cutting wheel, and then used metal shears for the rubber, and trimmed it up with a razor blade. I then installed the weatherstrip and used just the metal shears to cut it to length (so I didn't have to to take the whole piece off again). Turned out pretty decent, but not perfect. Turns out I still got 60% left, so I can do it a 2nd time.

But I figured I'd go ahead and install the rest of the hardware first. So I tried to install the rear wiper motor, but it doesn't fit.

Holes are too far apart. So I check out jdparts.com, and sure enough, the 2011 and older Ms use a RE201977 wiper motor and the 2012 uses RE261832.

Of course the iT4 5085M on jdparts.com does not show a rear glass pane part number. Only the Tier 3 5085M section does. That part number is R206835. Guess I'll need to call the dealer tomorrow and get this sorted out.

I also noticed that the range lever touches the cutout on the floor towards the seat when in range A or B.

I'll get them to adjust that when I take it in.

Also noticed hydraulic oil dripping from the rear transmission.

I'll make sure they take care of that once the cab is off.

Hopefully cab frame will be in this week. It was released to the factory early last week, whatever that means.

Spoke to dealer after doing some additional research on my own. Turns out both the rear window pane and weatherstrip part numbers changed for MY2012.

He's ordering me the MY2012 parts listed below. I'll swap them out for the pieces I got when they come in.

Here are the pre 2012 part numbers:

R206835 Window Pane
R263632 Weatherstrip

And the MY2012 ones:

R261272 Window Pane
R272792 Weatherstrip

So if you own a MY2012 M and need replacement parts, be sure to check jdparts.com to see if something changed. Btw, I had to do an alphabetical search to find the MY2012 glass pane part number. They are now shown in the pictorial index which is what I normally go by.
