Lol, I hear you. I was concerned when I saw the cab just sitting on that dirty floor, then I realized that was the old cab frame, and the new one will hopefully never touch that fifthy floor before being lowered into the tractor.I feel sorry for your tractor being in a shop with dirty floors...the horror...the horror.![]()
The service manual calls for removing the hood before removing the cab, but I guess their experience has taught them some shortcuts over the years. Also, the leak that I noticed under the transmission is from the seal where the rockshaft control valve mates with the top of the gearcase. Its a simple fix to just remove it and reseal it with the cab off. I asked the service manager if the job could have been done without removing the cab. If not, any labor associated with removing the cab should be booked as warranty work, and not be part of the insurance claim bill.
