Here are some pics. of my favorite brand of snow groomers. I might do this next winter for the fun of it. Might do it again if I really like it.

That puppy will not get stuck in your fine Florida sand as you are clearing out palmetto plants!

I love them! Very neat machines. They groom some really steep mountains. Sometimes the black diamond runs are so steep that a groomer with a 5 ton winch has to be used to pull the machine up! Very fun.

I've always wanted to run one of those. My biggest problem is I don't have the time or connections to get such a job. You mentioned the winch-cats. At the mountain up here that I do most of my skiing at, they have several runs that are double black diamonds that I like to ski, but even standing at the top will test your ability with hights...and they groom them on occasion. Its so steep that not only do they winch the cat up, but then they turn around and lower it back down.

A friend of mine bought 2 for a company where he worked as a drill technichian. I built and mounted a dump bed on one and a drill rig on the other and also cut down the track pads a good bit to mat it less vounerable to rocks braeking the pads but still wide wnough to work in swampy areas. He send me some pics from a company called sure track that build conversions for Newholland tractors to make them into snow groomers. my frien may buy one of these to work there swamp and sand exploration jobs
