Is the linkage setup on this very strong? it looks as though it would be easy to tweak if you caught up on something.

The 2" square is solid metal. It's taken alot of abuse over 3 1/2 seasons and works like a charm. There is an added steel plate below the bucket and gr 8 bolts for extra stiffness.

Deerlope and Blueberryman,
I have a question for you both. Your set ups seem the same but for the chain or stiff connection for the lift.

I have a similiar setup on my 3430. (mine with the chain)

My question, how do you manage the 'bounce' of this heavy configuration when driving with the plow off the ground.

My tractor is a bit lighter than both of yours so I realize this contributes to the 'bounce'.

I have considered trying to cut down the plow frame so to bring the plow closer to the quick attach plate. I have also considered trying to use some kind of shock absorber in place of blueberryman's stiff link.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

David in Vermont

Eric: I thought any equipment you use had to be construction sized. After all you've used in the last year a little plow will seem very tame.
