Well winter has arrived, 1st time since 2018 I've had to plow 3 mornings in a row. Finally this machine is coming into it's rightful element and purpose why I bought it in 2020.

We've had a crappy snow year. Maybe total 6”. Only a few inches left on unfrozen base.

I’ll ship you some of mine!!! Got about 14” of accumulation so far this year in the mountains outside of Spokane Valley.

We had good snow before Christmas, plenty to play in. Then a rain and warm spell and it was gone. The first 3 weeks of January was dry and cold and the ground froze up solid. Since then it has been snowy. Little storms every other day it seems so now we a pushing 2 feet on the ground. The third insulator down on the garden fence is the 2' marker.

I have over a mile of road, a couple of door yards, and a camp access to plow. After every thing is frozen solid I switch over to my truck plow. Much faster and I can go fast enough to cast the snow over the banks. Then when the road gets to narrow for the 9' truck plow or thaws I switch back to the tractor plow.

Well another nuisance 3" snow sleet rain mix to scrape this morning, and then some more scattered flurries and possibly another 4-6 Saturday evening Sunday morning.

Ours has all been bone dry. Almost 2' of fluff right down to the ground. No base what so ever. Easy to blow but tough to wallow in.

Yeah, same for us. At least this year there hasn't been much in the way of icing. For a few years it seemed we'd get snow that would turn to rain, then a deep freeze (with maybe an inch of snow on top of it) and make everything a sheet of ice. Took a naasty fall on some of that about 5 years ago.

This is all I got so far this winter on the Goulais Bay of Lake Superior.
We had a lot of thaw and rain cycles. But most of the storms seem to be missing us and dumping just to the south and the east this year.

We have had several small nuisance storms of 2-4 inches that have needed to be scrapped off to avoid iceing. The forecast for tonight and tomorrow is 6-10 inches. I have done my best to make sure it is in the lower amount. Dropped the blade of the rear, hooked up the blower, lubed it up and ran it a bit to check it out. Topped of the tractors fuel tanks and filled the pickup in town.
