I'm considering building a snow pusher to help deal with the light small snow falls. Any snow that is deep or heavy I will use my rear mount blower.

The area where I think this will be the most useful is 90' long and 60' wide. I prefer a pusher to a plow to minimize side forces on my FEL arms. I've done some clean up with my 60" bucket, but the small width and always fiddling with bucket angle has me thinking pusher.

This will be mounted on a Kubota L3400. HST 4wd Ag tires. 35 hp with an operating weight of close to 4500lbs (loaded tires, FEL and snow blower out back)

How Wide should I go?
How Tall should it be?

Maybe go out beyond the tires by 8-10inches, and as tall as your rear blower, my blower is 29inchs tall.

The outside of my tires is at 60", and my blower is 72" wide.

a more direct question might be.... how wide does everyone think I can push?

I would think a 6'pusher or snow-plow would be the proper size.I had a six ft.plow on a L3130 Kubota;similar sized. How much you can push depends a lot on snow depth and consistency. Not a fan of pushers for the most part,at least the way I use my snow-plow.
Another option my be a "light materials" bucket.

You are going to use it for lighter storms, the width of your blower would probably work, after the first bite you can decide if you want to take a full bite or a little less.

I won't go more than 7' and make each end adjustable settings...you might consider rear tire chains if you already don't have them.

We have a L3830 with loaded R1 tires, a 84" snowblower on the front and a 55 gallon barrel of concrete on the back and it has no problem pushing the snowblower like it was a pusher box with 6" of snow on the ground.
I wouldn't go any narrower than your blower and I might go a little wider.

If you are using it only for light snow removal, I would let the degree of maneuverability you need dictate the width. The is no need to make it wider than the blower as you will have the rear blower lifted anyway. I would assume if the snow is more than 4" deep you will use the blower?

Looking at your location, you may get wet heavy snow at times so bear that in mind for your pusher width.

When I bought my tractor new, it came with a 7' pusher. The first big snowfall we had I found that once the pusher box filled I no longer was able to steer. IMO a pusher box is meant to be used for straight run pushes such as a parking lot. My driveway and others I do have too many turns and was not user friendly. That summer I sold the box to someone who wanted it for a parking lot and then I adapted a 7 1/2' snow plow to my quick hitch. For me this was a much better way to plow. I also use a 7' wide double auger 3 pt. blower. I'm in the snow belt just S.E. of Lake Ontario and the plow and blower have been the best way for me to move snow.

Alright everyone talk me out of 96" wide 30" tall.

here's my thinking.....
I only have to push straight 90'
if the snow is heavy or deep.... I'll use the blower on the back
If I find it's too big to will likely be easier to sell then a 72" pusher

I have a Mahindra 2538, so very similar machine. I have a 7' snow pusher on it and it handles everything that nature has sent my way. I wouldn't go bigger, however. I have pushed everything from little dustings to 14" of wet stuff.

LOVE my pusher.

Snow pushers work quite well for the light stuff and even for the heavy cement like snow if you take it in bites with some speed. I made one out of wood and box tubing for my little tractor. I think height and depth of the wings is kinda critical as it allows you to catch more snow. Width is whatever is maneuverable for you and not too much for the traction you have. Mine is maybe 22" high with 10-12" or so wings and a bit wider than the wheels. I have it setup with a sorta V on the end of the square tube (it's like a T laying down) so I can slide the bucket in the V, pick up the pusher and use a chain binder to hold it in place. This allows for some down force on the pusher. It is also great for pushing back encroaching snowbanks.

I have a Boss pusher and a L3700.its too heavy and too big for my tractor. It's fine for my Skidsteer. Depending on what kind and how much snow you get, along with what the topography you are plowing ..would determine how big of a pusher. IMO, a 7' would be max width and no more than 5" of wet snow, or 8-10" of powder.

I went over this whole thing myself a couple of years ago. I decided to buy a bigger medium duty bucket and I'm glad I did. I use my rear blower for big storms and use the bucket for lighter storms as well as scraping the driveway after I blow it. I also find the bucket to work well if I want to make a pile at the end of my 180ft driveway and then turn around and blow it into the woods.. My house has a standing seam metal roof and all the snow rolls off in front of my porch, I bucket it out of there and then blow it in the woods..

I picked up to plastic barrels over the weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to find out the inside of the barrels was white, outside was dark blue, and they are made from 3/16" thick HDPE. I couldn't ask for anything better.

I cut the ends off, and I'm left with 32" wide strips about 68" long. my shop door is 9' wide.

So between the 32" wide plastic and the 9' door... I'm going tot build the pusher 8' wide.

No way! I was going to suggest having a 4x8 sheet sheared in half and just go 8' wide.
Your opening cut at a full 8' may be tough in wetter snow, but after that just take as big of a "bite" as you can handle. This way you maximize your material and have the width if you can use it (smaller snows).
I have some pics of my build, but a pusher box is not rocket science.

I took a 10' snow plow and added wings to it for my 5083E. It works just fine except it needs some articulation built in. I also have a 7' or 7 1/2' wide snow plow that mounts to a subframe that I built, and use that on the L3400. Even with chains on the front, I have trouble pushing that uphill. Downhill is no sweat and I can usually get snow to roll pretty well off of it.
