Boy this makes me steamed /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif I go out and drop the motherload on a tractor and you and Mora show up here with all your fancy dancy equipment, set up like Cadillacs with all the creature comforts. I thought the world had improved with my 3130. No need to worry about some old tractor that went klinkity klunk. I was happy to have a good piece of equipment with a FEL and you guys show up with these incredible, highly manuverable, snow eating machines. Now I bet both of you are just cruising along, effortlessly wisking away the snow, and having a warm cup of tea. All the while listening to your favorite tunes and making sure you get back before the toast gets cold.

Look, even poor Av8r2230 is wanting for one of those cabs. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Well I'll have none of it ..... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif. This is a tractor site. So, I'm going to continue to expose myself to the elements like the foolish broke guy I am, and try to figure out some way to to have the both of you banished from this thread forever /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Have you no pity? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Chris,

I had a real problem with the Sims cab today. I was too hot, /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif had to take the coat off , /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif then the sweat shirt /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gifand finaly just a t-shirt. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Here it was what 0 outside and I am blowing snow with just a t-shirt on, /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif yea was a real problem. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Oh did I mention the cup holder on top of the heater to keep the java nice and warm too. Yea it was real tough today snowblowing. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif but you know someone had to go out and do the job at hand. More snow coming on Friday, guess I will have to just go with a t-shirt to start with. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Ny Yankees Fan, I'm with bugstruck, being an open air driver, I object to the descriptions of your wonderfully comfortable equipment /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I use a 60" rear snowblower on my Kubota L3430 and that lets me use my loader too. Works good for scraping back from buildings and loading out piles.

I usually blow snow in tee shirt and wet swimming trunks barefoot eating ice cream from a bucket with no cab. I don't need no steenking cab-ha! didn't get enough snow here in Central pa to use the blower anyway .

Lou,
I can't imagine what the plow left at the end of your driveway that took a half hour to clear?

I do 9 and sometimes more driveways with a FEL and I have no problems. If the plow left me 8 yards of snow at the end of a driveway I could clear that in 10 minutes or less.... The trick is not to scoop everything, it's to scoop and push!

My B2910 in 4 wheel drive and (medium or low range if required) can push an lot of snow.

All this said the plow is better than the FEL for clearing snow... No question about it. The trick is the frist couple of snows have to get pushed way back. Also as the snow starts to melt on warm days the piles should be pushed back as they will refreeze into ice and become hard to move.

Regards,
Chris

I use a Woods RB7 (rearblade) turned backwards. I just drive backwards pushing the snow off to one side with the blade. When the snow on the side gets too high to push more over it, i use the FEL bucket to push it back or pile it in a couple of places. The drive way is only about 500' and once up, and once back and its done. The faster I go the higher it throws the snow off to the side. I can also raise the blade, but usually I just leave it float.

Chris, Are those paved drivways?
Scoop and push just means more gravel repair for me /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
