I am looking at buying a Kubota b3030 or JD 2520 for my snow removal company.
We do a lot of small double drives in condo communities. I have been doing reseach for months now and cannot pull the trigger.
Anyway, I want to know if anyone is usung the Kubota front mount blower for commercial use. I was at the dealer today and have to say it looks like its for home use. I looked at the specs and its only 375 lbs. This is half the weight of most blowers of the same size from other companies: Did Kubota have to make it this light b/c of front axle weight issues?
Thanks Mike

The B2782 Snowblower also fits the B2910, 2710 and 7800 tractors. Several TBNer's have this blower on their tractors. I don't know if any use it commercially. You may want to repost your question using as a heading "Kubota Snowblower".

What do you plan to use the tractor for other than removing snow? A front mount tractor may suit your needs. I bought a F2400 because my main tasks are cutting grass and blowing snow and a front mount tractor is great for these. My unit was previously owned by a small town and probably experienced a lot of heavy use, but it still works great. However the snowblower is a third-party unit, not a Kubota. Attached is a photo of my unit ready for winter, complete with snow blower, heated cab and salt spreader. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Looks great, how is the traction in the winter?
The tractor will be all winter work:blower and loader with a blade on it I was thinking!
We do alot of lawn care too but our properties are quite small. We use stand on JD's for cutting!
Thanks Mike

The kubota snowblowers are good machines if you #1 trash the factory cutting edge & replace with hardened steele. # 2 reinforce the outside of the driftknives with 1.5" flatbar. # 3 tack weld the main drive gear to the shaft as it is only pressed on at the factory! My 2650 blows snow 50' @ 2600 rpm. Next week i'm purchasing a 2871 that will go directly to the welding shop for the above procedures!!

Traction has never been a problem even though I run on turf tires all year round. My driveway is fairly level so I don't have any grades to deal with. If I had to I could engage the 4wd but can't remember ever having had to do so. Bar tires would also help with traction. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
