Snowblower Snowblower trade?

   / Snowblower trade? #21
Snowman and Von
I checked Kubota's parts manual, and the B2660 is for B7400, B7500, and B2410 tractors.
B2782 is for B2710 tractors.
They have different subframes, and the blowers have different ## and are different sizes.
If you send me your email, I'll send you the pfd. file.
I'd tried to attach it here , but there is a 100k limit.
my email is tricel1@netzero.net
Thank you Ed

Yea, I saw that too. But I think I can make it work, even if I have to do some fabrication. I have to have my neck operated on soon. So this would be perfect for me. Because I won't be able to turn it for a few months. Plus it will be easy for my son to use it. I'm going to the dealers tomorrow morning and take some measurements and see if it can be done. Will let you know. Von

snowman,
I went to the dealers today and took some measurements of a B7500. It looks like I should be able to make the swap work! Will just have to make a few minor changes to the mounting brackets at the back. and I might have to lengthen the drive shaft if its not long enough. Should be no big deal! I have attached some photos of my snow blower so you can see it. It has been stored inside and only used on pavement, so there is very little paint wear. Could you take a few photos of the blower itself both front and rear? If the blower looks as good as the rest of it, when do you want to make the swap? I can bring you mine on my trailer. Then you can just use your loader to take it off and load yours on. Let me know and we can set something up! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Thanks, Von

Attached is a photo of the front that I took at the beginning of last winter; basically the same shape now. It's kind of dusty due to sitting in the garage; usually wash it when I stick it on for the winter.

If you look at the discharge chute, you'll see that I bent the metal prongs out. I did that because wet snow would clog it up. These metal prongs are presumably just a safety device. You can unscrew and take off the whole assembly, but I did not as it also helps to hold the chute together.

The shoes on the blower were lousy to begin with in that they slowly work their way back down. I fixed that the first year by wedging pieces of wood in. After the first year, I paved the driveway and let it scrap right on the pavement (so I don't use the shoes).

I do want to do the swap, if, once again, you're comfortable with it working on your tractor.

I'm sending you an email
