So called "tool box"

The grease gun could be mounted in a 12inch piece of pVC pipe mounted horiz somewhere on your rig. The hose would be outside like the handle or tucked back into the top of the pipe?

Ive seen that trick before (and the store bought equivalent holders).

2 problems for me are

1 the lack of clear vertical space to mount the grease gun holder (rops and area by the 3pt is out)

2. i want something enclosed to both protect the G Gun and tools from the weather.

I havent seen a solution really. Mostly due to the small size of the BX. Mounting a toolbox to the bucket lift arm mount (like on traditional large tractors) would almost get in the way of the bucket :p (I exaggerate a bit, but its a small machine :))

Here is what I did on mine. Two boxes made from a PVC fencepost with caps. The second is a piece of PVC pipe put through the hole in my loader arms.

OK, so what am I missing? I grease up before I go out why do you want to carry the grease gun throughout the day and where will you keep the extra cartridge?

Am I not greasing frequent enough?

I do like the fire extinguisher holder.

mostly just to keep the gun and a small tool assortment on the machine. My machine gets moved around a bit, having the gun and some tools on the machine means it'll be there when you need it.

It's probably not a big deal if you only use your tractor at your place. I have three different pieces of property that I take care of though, and sometimes the tractor will be away from my home for weeks. That's when it would be handy to have things like the grease gun and often used tools actually mounted on the tractor. I have yet to find a solution that really fits my needs though, because a lot of the property I mow is wooded and those limbs really like to rip things off the tractor. For now, I just have a big portable tool box that I labelled "tractor" and keep all the stuff I think I'll need in it. When I take the tractor somewhere, I take that box with it and just leave it there until I bring the tractor back. Still not as handy as having it mounted on the tractor, but at least I know that most of the tools I'll need are just a few minutes walk away.

I feel your pain, the Kioti toolbox is a complete JOKE also.

My wife ordered the Tractor Supply toolbox for me as a birthday present and I installed it today. I must say it worked, fit, looked better, and was heavier than I thought it would be. It was a fairly easy install and only took about an hour. I made a couple of modifications and improvements that made it even better. They offer it in two sizes, a 16" and a 20" and your toolbox can't be too big, so I asked for the larger one. They are both the same price anyway. I lined the bottom with a 1/8" rubber pad and put weather stripping inside the lid where it meets the sides of the box and then cut off the little carrying handle on the box after I ran the tractor for awhile. I was attempting to limit metal-to-metal vibration noise (aggravations). And, it worked. It is black, but close enough to Kubota gray that I am not going to repaint it. I took a picture of the worthless OEM toolbox and my new TSC replacement. It really worked perfectly on my MX5100. The kit included several types of mounting brackets and thumbscrews to secure the box to the brackets. There is an indented area for the thumbscrews. The kit is well thought out and easy to install. I still have full view of the 3 point hitch and attachments and plenty of seat room with the seat moved rearward. For my applications this is a winner and reasonably priced.
