So how is winter going so far? Warmer or colder?

Here in Central Louisiana, we almost froze to death in October!!! (Global Warming, I'm sure)

Overnight lows haven't been below about 30 degrees since. It's almost "normal" weather for us over the past 2 months.

I would say warmer than normal now we are going into a colder period.If I remember correctly last year in Dec we had 3+ weeks of below Zero weather,none of that this year so far.

northern center of ohio had started off with cold most of the summer, well below normals and October & November were cool and probably below normal. December so far has stayed above normal for most part...

Warmer & wetter than last year on the East Coast of Canada. Definitely a green (or should I say blue?) Christmas according to the weather channel - looking at an inch + (25-35mm) of rain on X'Mas day & we had a dump of 2" rain a few weeks back that did quite a bit of damage locally (not an issue at our place as we have good drainage installed). Last year we had 3+ feet of snow on the ground by now (snow was deep enough last Christmas that the banks in part of the lane were higher than my blower).

Overall, a little warmer...no weather statistics to prove that, just a "seat of the pants" observation.

Normal to warmer than average along the Ohio River in Kentucky. A couple nights in the low teens but most days 40-60s. Pretty damp, locals having a hard time finishing bean harvest. I usually "budget" to start feeding hay Dec 1 but have not stated yet, still out out pasture but daily feeding dry feed.

The guys who predict weather long range especially are having a hard time this year. Most all of them predicted another cold one and so far nothing. Really normal here 40s to 50s high 30s for lows. The first ten days of January may be brutal for a lot of us then mild returns. For how long cannot say but with strong Pacific Jet may be balance of winter but do believe it will be wet
