So how is winter going so far? Warmer or colder?

It's been warm (mostly) and wet here on the Canadian Atlantic coast. No snow at all yet. They've had some inland and at higher elevations, but nothing at all where I am. There have been a few cold days, but mostly mild. We'll be about freezing today with some flurries.

SW pa here. Feels warmer than normal but no actual data to prove that. So far the "experts" prediction of being colder and worse than last year has been incorrect, but there is a lot if winter left.

Northern Ontario and so far it has been a roller coaster ride since November. We got some snow (2'), then it warmed up and rained that down to 6", then some more snow and now for Christmas the powers that be are predicting warm temps. and rain. Last winter we had the -30's to -40's in December before the snow. Normally we get the -30's to -40's in January. We did get down to -26F last week

IIRC, November was slightly colder than normal but dry. Now December has been warmer than usual with clouds....clouds .....clouds.:grumpy: One wet snow lasted a couple days. It's raining today @ 42 deg F

Warmer here, I've burned half the fire wood I burned at this time last year.

This time last year we had snow piled . Cold as **** .This year nothing snowise , YET !

Great winter here in NEPA, no snow on the ground and I was able to grill last night with a balmy 28 degrees as the sun sank low! Burning a bag of pellets a day... hope it stays this way at least until next year!

Cold November warm December,ground in most places still thaw.

I'm maybe 90 miles north of you and the ground has been snow-covered here since Thanksgiving...probably 10" now. Haven't seen this much snow before Christmas in a number of years. Judging by firewood consumption, maybe a little colder than average though as others have noted much of that was due to a much colder than normal November.

Maybe a little above normal for December in NE Kansas. Mostly rain instead of snow but I'm not complaining. Being in the DOT business, last year wore us out plowing and treating roads so I'll take a winter with much less of that stuff.
