Buying Advice So i go into the Kubota dealer this afternoon who also sells Mahindra's

Mahindra seems to get a bit of a bad rap on TBN by some. My experience has been that I have two Mahindra dealers within twenty minutes of me and one Kubota dealer (the Kubota dealer also sells Mahindra). As to parts availability my experience has been that I have had to order one item for my Mahindra tractor which came in within two days. I have had to order one item for my John Deere mower which took over a week to come in. I am in no way knocking Kubota. They make a fine tractor but at the same time I would not worry about parts for a Mahindra.

I'm not sure why they would get a bad rap on TBN. The Mahindra I looked at seemed like it was really beefy. Makes me wonder if I should look at the 3535 given the L3800 price point.....

The 3535, now you are stepping up into a whole new class of tractor. If you want to do some good heavy duty work, the 3535 will sure get it done

I agree. The thing that creeps into the back of my mind is the fact of getting that much more tractor for maybe 5% more in cost. With the weight of that class I'm wondering if it will create small ruts(or indents) in the field as I go across it. Looking at the tire specs on the 3535 they're just big and may have enough surface area at contact to prevent it.

The 35 series has VERY large wheels and tires. That was one of the selling points on my new 4035. The others I looked at like Kioti, Kubota, and NH, all head much narrower wheels and tires, especially in the front (front wheels in my experience being much more prone to digging in, especially when carrying a load).

With the loader, the rear tires filled, a full tank of fuel, and me sitting on it, it probably weighs close to 7,000 pounds, but it leaves no tracks or ruts in my pastures, and only slight indents in soft areas of the yard.

I love it so far. The power and the weight of the 35 series is really impressive.

Went out for the test drives. We took the L3800 and 3616 HSTs and from the operator's seat generally liked them both. Seemed that the L3800 was a little smoother out in the lot, but overall didn't feel a lot of differentiation in the seat although the 3616 was roomier. We walked back into the dealer and said let's try the 4035 he had there. I know apples and oranges in capabilities, but from a price standpoint just a few thousand. We really liked the 4035 HST on the test run. Seemed smooth, roomy, and it is just built very heavy. I am fairly sure it will have plenty of power for what I need to accomplish regularly, and I won't be running a smaller machine to its max. I'd be willing to field any questions on our choice as everyone has be very helpful with their advice and feedback here. Thanks!

Am I guessing it right you bought Mahindra. You bought 3035 or 4035. Those are mean looking beasts.
