Yes, it squeals because you are hitting the pressure relief, but you are only doing it for 30 seconds or so, it won't hurt anything to do that, just drop the engine to an idle to reduce how much flow is going through the pressure relief.

Well i see your point, but with with the work i do, it will be a tremendous pain in the patooie to shut down to an idle every time i want to raise or lower the mower. Wings, ok i guess.

As I said, no matter the throttle setting, the only thing that will be hurt by the remotes bypassing for the 30 seconds it takes to lower the mower or the wings is your ears. It won't hurt the tractor at all.

As aczlan mentioned it won't hurt the pump or anything especially for no more time it takes to lower the mower or wings. My operators manual for my International backhoe tractor says to max out one of the cylinders and let the pump go into bypass as a way to help get the hydraulics up to operating temperature before doing the days work. I have a hard time making myself do it for a long period of time so I usually just let it run for a while.

I guess that would work but ive already rigged it with separate remotes and it works the way i want it to. I guess i just spent $95 needlessly. Oh well, aint the first time, wont be the last.

Glad you got her going. The way we were talking about also had to use two separate remotes but only using one of the ports of each. You should be able to get your mowing done quickly with that setup.

The way you have it now will help unfold the uphill wing on a slope where it wouldn't have unfolded before.
Its the better way to do it, but as you found, the more expensive way too.
