Unless I missed it, I am surprised no one has listed Javelina. Very common in the west.

Grey squirrel-aka moving targets
Coral snake
Coachwhips-again a mating pair, but i haven't seen either of them in a while
I'm sure there are some pygmy rattlers waiting to be found

Strange, Texas Parks and Wildlife says the same thing here about the black panther sightings in central Texas. Many sightings but no evidence - so they don't exist. I have seen it 7 times and once a pair. They are way too big for a feral cat. Locals even have a name for it: "Moab Monster".

We get a a lot of crap about cougar sightings here, but I've seen 2 and my wife was with me once and mom once so I had sober witnesses!:D
We definitely have chipmunks, skunks, etc...

/ So what animals do you have on your property? #38
I have the usual Northern New England list including an occasional Moose or black bear. More deer and ruffed grouse than I can round up. Frequent turkeys etc. I had raccoon tracks on the windshield of my truck yesterday and was glad to see that he didn't get into the chicken coop. Hundreds of birds with the epiliated woodpecker being perhaps the most impressive constant resident but we see the great hawks, owls, and even the occasional eagle during their migrations. No poisonous snakes with the spotted adder being the meanest snake in town. But perhaps the strangest thing I have ever seen is called a "mud puppy" a purple salamander with bright yellow spots that lives in the maple woods near a vernal pool. Looks alien when you first come upon one.

Gudday Doug,Here on the Baffle we have most of what you have except the koalas and deer but we do have the odd emu and the bloody cane toads.:mad:and our seven dogs. Our mareema kills any goannas near the house. How are things after those massive floods last year. I have also heard of panthers and other big cats but never seen any. The roos don't come near the house nor She Who MUST be obeyed's gardens because of the dogs, thankfully for that or I would hear about it constantly:laughing:.
