So who is using Starlink? How do you like it?

It's better than nothing. I'd still prefer fibre but if your only other option is hughes I'd go starlink.

You get good speeds sometimes and you also get nothing at times.

As a user of Starlink for the last three months, it was a game changer for us. Wifi calling has no lag, zero, like your talking on a landline.

Streaming videos and live shows have no interruptions. We have streamed a movie, talked on the phone and surfed the net at the same time.

Were using it at our place in Western South Dakota with no chance of getting fiber to our property.

Hopefully the honeymoon with Starlink turns into a lasting relationship as Hughsnet was a total bust.

Starlink should deliver sub-100ms RTT which is well within the acceptable range of latency for VoIP phones, whether it's a hardwired or softphone. Cisco recommends 150ms one way.
