I am getting ready to purchase a rotary cutter and one of the options is a solid rubber tailwheel or laminated tailwheel. Any recomendations or insight on this?

Depends on your ground conditions. Soft loamy soil, solid. Rough rocky soil, laminated. I would expect local dealers to primarily stock the type most suited for area conditions.

I went with the solid rubber wheel (no charge). Laminated was extra. My neighbor's 30 year old JD 820 has a laminated wheel on its 6' hog.
